2nd Lieutenant Andrew Fred Hansen!

Last week Dewy graduated from West Point and got commissioned as a second lieutenant! It was such an incredible week. The week was so packed full of graduation activities we hardly had time to breath.

This is before the commissioning ceremony in his new dress blues. I love this uniform, definitely one of my favorites. Especially since it's what he will wear when we get married!

This is just following the commissioning. The man on the right is Colonel Crino, one of Dewy's teachers. He taught the Capstone class that Dewy was in and was one of his favorite instructors. Dewy asked him to commission him, and it was so awesome to see. He's a great guy!

This is just before the graduation banquet. So nice! I love all the banquets at West Point. The banquet hall is huge, and it is so fun to stand with everyone and make toasts and then have a general come speak. Plus you get to get dressed up! They are a lot of fun.

The graduation parade was really cool. Especially the entrance when the whole core files out through all the entryways to the barracks. Spencer and Dewy did an awesome job!

Pam and I went to a Bride's Coffee one morning which was really great. We met up with some girls who will be stationed at Fort Hood where Dewy and I go in January.

Throwing their hats!

Right after graduating! Seriously one of the best moments ever. Finally done, and accomplished so much. I'm so happy for my hun.

Time Flies By!

It has been SO long since I have posted anything, but I am finally getting to it! It has been a crazy couple of months with a lot happening. We are only a week and a half away from Dewy's graduation!!! I can't believe he has made it through four years at West Point! He is so incredible.  Not only is Dew graduating really soon, but we are getting married in a month! Just one month! Eek! I am sooo excited and can't wait for June 13th!

Here in New York we have been having a lot of fun... most of the time. Dewy has had a lot of work to get done in his last few weeks at West Point and is taking all his finals this week. My sister Alyssa and I have been going sight seeing and playing around in the city. Above is one of the many occasions in the city. We were walking around on a beautiful sunny day and went to a farmers market. So much fun.

We got to go home for a week for spring break and get all of our wedding errands done. Woohoo! Engagement photos, invitations, and lots of other fun stuff. The best part was visiting our families and hanging out with them for a whole week!

This is Dewy and I at the house in Rye I lived in on one of the many fun weekends we would hang out!

I had to post this picture of my nieces, Emily and Madeline at Easter. They are so darn cute and getting so big! I have missed my family so much and can't wait for them to come out to Utah in June for the wedding!!!

Getting So CLOSE!

Ok, so maybe it's February, but it feels like the wedding is getting really close. Maybe it's because I'm getting so busy planning. The best news Dewy and I have recently gotten is that we will be going to Fort Hood, Texas for our first post. Woohoo! That's exactly where we wanted to go and we're so excited! Other than that...

Dewy and I have been having a great time in New York. Amidst all the cold we got to go to my Uncles house in New Hampshire for my Grandma Johnson's 90th birthday celebration. It was really more like a cabin, huge and comfy. My grandma had around 120 people come to her party, talk about awesome.

Dewy and four others were part of a project at West Point that was nationally recognized; they studied ways to improve the medical and physical evaluation board procedures that soldiers go through. Their recommendations were brought to the Chief of Staff of the Army!!! Pretty amazing.

These are the boys that I watch during the week. They are cuties... most of the time haha. We played a game of hide and go seek one night with Dewy and my sister throughout their whole house, talk about awesome. We have a lot of fun together.

Here is baby Catherine. She's adorable. Dewy likes playing with her and lets her use him as her jungle gym. This week I'm going to the Bahamas with the family and am very excited for the sun and the beach. We'll get back Sunday and then Dewy and I can celebrate Valentines Day. Hooray!

It's a New Year!

Christmas and the Ride Home
We had a great Christmas vacation and loved seeing our families.

We decided to bring the car out so we would have an extra one to use in New York. It ended up being a week long drive with car complications. Luckily we made it a roadtrip, so we had a ton of fun!

In Chicago!

In a crazy diner in Wyoming where the serving sizes were HUGE.

When we got back Dewy took me to see The Little Mermaid on broadway!!! We went to Olive Garden in Times Square right after. It was an awesome date.

Winter Time

Good Times in New York

In October, we hung out with Dewy's family when they flew me out there to visit him two weeks in a row!!!

Michael, Spencer, Pam, and I at the Army vs. Cornell sprint football game. It was awesome to watch it with Dewy's mom and brothers!

We met up with more of the family the next day, it was great!

I moved out to New York right after I came out with Dewy's dad, Conway, to visit, and now every weekend is glorious. This was just one of the many of the awesome weekends where we went to the city and had a blast!

Dewy was the head coach for Army's Engineer Goat team, which is like Powderpuff for high school. They won their second year in a row thanks to him!
