It was such an incredible week. The week was so packed full of graduation activities we hardly had time to breath.

This is before the commissioning ceremony in his new dress blues. The man on the right is Colonel Crino, one of Dewy's teachers. He taught the Capstone class that Dewy was in and was one of his favorite instructors. It has been a crazy couple of months with a lot happening. We are only a week and a half away from Dewy's graduation!!! I can't believe he has made it through four years at West Point! He is so incredible. Not only is Dew graduating really soon, but we are getting married in a month! Just one month! Eek! I am sooo excited and can't wait for June 13th!

Here in New York we have been having a lot of fun... most of the time. Dewy has had a lot of work to get done in his last few weeks at West Point and is taking all his finals this week. My sister Alyssa and I have been going sight seeing and playing around in the city. Above is one of the many occasions in the city. We were walking around on a beautiful sunny day and went to a farmers market. So much fun.

We got to go home for a week for spring break and get all of our wedding errands done. Firstly, because I'm so flippin excited. Secondly, in hopes to answer questions some of my friends have about how it happened, what my ring looks like, when we're getting married, etc. Let me know if I leave anything out... and if Dewy approves I might post the video of his proposal (yes! we got it on film thanks to some sneaky camera work by my good friends Jessie Gold and Braden Baker). Hooray!

Proposal!

Dewy was very sneaky when he proposed. We both knew we wanted to get married, but also knew we couldn't get married until Dewy had graduated from West Point because of their 'no-attachments-while-in-school' thing. So we planned to get married after he graduated in June of '09. Knowing this, I didn't think that we would be engaged until the end of this year or early next year. So one night while Dewy was here over one of his breaks we planned a double date with two of our friends. That night we went to the Gateway, ate at California Pizza Kitchen, and then went to see What Happens In Vegas (which perfectly segueed into what would happen after...). As we were leaving Dewy slipped Jessie his camera without me noticing somehow... and I still don't get how I didn't notice this big bulge in his pocket coming from a ring box?! So after that we walked out onto the balcony of the gateway where there was a gorgeous sunset (of course!!!) and Dew turned in to give me a hug, whispered some things to me and then got on his knee. Then it kind of felt like a paparazzi was around us because all these flashes kept coming from Jessie and Baker's direction. It was absolutely perfect and I couldn't stop hugging and kissing my boy after he put it on my finger. I'm so happy!
